Straightline International complies with the EU-US, Swiss-US, and the United Kingdom-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom to the United States. Straightline International has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. Straightline International has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to the BBB EU Privacy Shield an alternate dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact or visit https://www.bbb.org/EU-privacy-shield/for-eu-consumers for more information and to file a complaint. The services of the BBB EU Privacy Shield Program are provided at no cost to you.

Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel.

The range of data we handle is determined by our corporate customer but can range from name, address, and employment history to medical and legal background.

Straightline International does not disclose or share the collected information with any third parties. Since we do not engage in third party transfer, we are currently exempt from the Privacy Shield liability principle. If this practice should change in the future we will update this policy to identify those third parties, provide individuals with opt-out choice, and attest to our liability in keeping with the Privacy Shield Principles. Note, however, that we may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request made by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

We acknowledge that EU, Swiss, and United Kingdom individuals have the right to access their personal data to inspect, correct or delete it. Individuals wishing to access the personal data we process on behalf of our corporate customer must address any access request to that company who remains the data controller. Any such requests we receive directly will be forwarded to the appropriate customer.
